12 Tested Tips By Experts to Clean Your House Quickly and Easily

Well, seeing a clean house is a treat to your eyes, but you don’t enjoy cleaning it. Is there a quicker way to clean your house?

Besides cleaning your house on the weekend, you must enjoy it to the fullest. Therefore, on weekends your priority is quickly cleaning your house. Afterwards, you should celebrate it by treating yourself to pizza.

Follow our 12 tested tips to clean your house quickly and easily, so you can treat yourself to pizza later and breathe in a clean environment.

1 Make a to-do list

Dr David Cohen, a renowned psychologist, and the author believes that making to-do lists on paper or in a diary helps him to stay organised and monitor his tasks. As a result, make a to-do list on a page to design a strategy to clean your house faster.

2 Work smart

Smart work is significant in cleaning your house to prevent energy drains. We wouldn’t want you to feel exhausted and doze off at the end of the day after cleaning your house. Thus, reserve your energy for Netflix and chill by creating smarter ways to clean your house.

3 Gather cleaning tools

Before cleaning, gather all essential cleaning supplies and products in one place. Then reserve a bucket to keep all your tools and carry it around your house during cleaning. A psychiatric nurse practitioner at Northwestern Medicine, Cheryl Beutell, APRN, quotes, “A routine is how you build habits.”

4 Use the total method

The cleaning process becomes easier when you choose one job (vacuuming, dusting, mopping) and do that in every room of your house instead of cleaning one room at a time. Using the total method helps you to save time and energy.

5 Prioritize decluttering

Sharon Lowenheim, MBA, MSE, founder of Organizing Goddess, Inc, and certified professional organizer, advises to “Pick up and put away everything [that] has gathered on the floor.” We suggest this before dusting, wiping, or scrubbing since it will help you to clean the house quickly.

6 Dust and vacuum

Dust the tops of furniture and shelves undersides, TV screens, ornaments, picture frames, and on handrails. Take a microfiber cloth and tie it at the end of a broom or mop to clean upper shelves and blinds. Change bedsheets in all the bedrooms before starting vacuuming.

7 Scrub with greatness

Bill Samuel, a residential real estate developer and general contractor of Blue Ladder Development, invented the rehabs before reselling and renting. “Any basic cleaning solution and a little elbow grease will work in every case for cleaning kitchen and bathroom tiles. Removing the stains from the grout between the tiles isn’t easy, so we found an effective way to clean tile grout.”

8 Your toilet needs TLC

A toilet is a place where bacteria can grow and harm your health. Pour a cup of soda crystals or bicarbonate soda into your toilet weekly once before sleeping. Leave it like that to allow soda crystals to clear the limescale around the inside of the toilet bowl. Flush away in the morning to achieve good results.

9 Clean your dishwasher

All dishwasher components, such as silverware baskets, panels, filters, and door gaskets, must be germ-free. Use the diluted beach to clean the dirty areas, and for molds in the silverware basket, soak it in your kitchen sink, putting the diluted bleach in warm water for 30 minutes. Rinse it properly before putting it back into the dishwasher.

10 Don’t ignore the drains

Once a month, pour half a cup of baking soda into the drain, then put a cup of white vinegar, leaving it for an hour, and flush it with hot water. Hence, this technique will also prevent potential health risks, massive clogs, or pipe blockages.

11 Wash your cleaning tools regularly

Ensure you wash your cleaning tools regularly, so you don’t have to clean them before deep cleaning your house.

12 Start from the top, then follow the steps

For each task, start from the top points of the room, then move from left to right throughout the rooms.

Step 1: Dusting

Dust all components of each room to get rid of the particles.

Step 2: Clean your Mirrors and Glass Windows

Use dishwashing liquid or vinegar to clean mirrors and glass windows.

Step 3: Clean Furniture Fabric

Remake your bed, tidy the pillows and blankets, and vacuum furniture surfaces.

Step 4: Disinfect Surfaces and Counters

Disinfect all surfaces and counters throughout your house.

Step 5: Spray Bathrooms and Kitchen

Spray the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, tubs, and toilet. Give time to the cleaner to dissolve stains and dirt.

Step 6: Sweep and Mop

Sweep then mop the floors that need it.

Step 7: Vacuum

Always vacuum at the end and dust first.
